Lake Cooloongup

Lake Richmond, Cooloongup and Walyungup contain thrombolites - organsedimentary structures common in the Pre-Cambrian and Cambrian Ages 3.5 billion to 570 million years ago.

Visitors can park their cars at the car park and stroll along walk trails with in the bush land along Lake Walyungup.The car park is in between Manduran RD and Ennis Ave alone Safety Bay RD heading towards Ennis Ave.

Cooloongup is also one of our suburbs here in Rockingham Western Australia
Cooloongup is named after Lake Cooloongup . Lake Cooloongup was recorded by Surveyor AC Gregory in 1843. The meaning of the Aboriginal name is not known. The suburb was named in 1974.
