Point Peron is also known as Cape Peron, this area is covered in rugged lime stone cliffs, reefs and beautiful panoramic views are a excellent feature to this very popular area. Point Peron is also a excellent spot for fishing, snorkeling and diving. You can explore the rock pools at low tide which is alot of fun for kids, but please keep an eye on what your children are doing, because this area is dangerous for kids.

Take the stairs to view the observation post which was built during World War II, the observation post for the coastal battery is located on the hilltop, and only the old buildings remain .There are 71 steps to make it to the top, but it's worth the climb once you get to the top.

Point Peron takes up to two to three hours to have a good explore around, Peron also has up to five bays with mini beaches. Please note alot of these area's are covered in rugged lime stone and can be very dangerous to the new visitor to the area.

To walk around the whole area of Point Peron we think it's in between 1 to 3 km long, today we saw one of our cities schools viewing the area and even a guy on a harley came though the walk ways. We don't think your meant to rider your harley around here. To the Garden Island side is were we stopped to view up to seven dolphins surfing the waves and hunting for food.

You can also see the Point Peron camp once you drive into the area, or you can view the camp from the top of the hill as well. Once you have made it to the top, you wont forget the views, you can see Garden Island from here and the causeway as well, there is so much to see and do around here .Please note dogs are to remain on lesh.
